Itinerary
🗺️ VIP Sacred Valley Tour Itinerary
Departure from Cusco by tourist transport to the north of the Sacred Valley.
First stop in Chinchero, a traditional textile center and archaeological site with stunning views.
We continue to Moray, an impressive Inca agricultural laboratory with unique circular terraces.
Visit the Maras Salt Mines (optional, admission not included), a group of more than 3,000 salt mines active since pre-Inca times.
Buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant in Urubamba, featuring Andean and international dishes.
We then visited the imposing Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, renowned for its monumental architecture and strategic history.
We continue to the archaeological site of Pisac, located atop a mountain with terraces and sacred temples.
We finish with a stop in the town of Pisac, famous for its artisan market and traditional atmosphere.
Return to the city of Cusco in the afternoon.

Where does the tour to the Sacred Valley start?
- The tour starts at 6:45 am near Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.
- Hotel pickup is only available near downtown Cusco.
- Meeting directly at the office ensures a smooth and punctual departure.
Where does the tour end and can I finish in Ollantaytambo?
- The tour usually ends at Plaza Regocijo between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.
- If you prefer, you can end your tour in Ollantaytambo at approximately 3:30 pm, which is ideal if you plan to take a train to Machu Picchu or spend the night there.
- Note: If you choose to stay in Ollantaytambo, you will not visit Pisac, as it is on the route back to Cusco.
What services and inclusions are offered during the tour?
- Tour group size: normally 14-16 people, maximum 18, guided by a professional bilingual guide (English/Spanish).
- Buffet lunch included, with options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets at no additional cost (please notify in advance).
- Free luggage storage at our head office (available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and early morning from 4:45 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.).
- We are direct local operators, not intermediaries: you book and travel with us.
- Tourist Ticket (BTG): If you don’t have one, you can buy it in Chinchero, the first stop. Price: 70 soles (partial) or 130 soles (full) — cash only.
- Free date changes or changes to a similar tour (Palcoyo, Laguna Humantay, 7 Lagunas) are allowed until 7:00 pm the day before (email: machupicchureservations@gmail.com).
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
- 100% Refund: Cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour.
- 50% Refund: Cancel within 24 hours but before 7:00 p.m. the day before.
- No refund: Cancellations after 7:00 pm the day before the tour.
What should I bring for the Sacred Valley tour?
- Clothing: Wear layers: a T-shirt, sweater, and comfortable pants. Bring a waterproof jacket or rain poncho.
Sun protection: Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat due to the strong high altitude sun.
Camera: Don’t forget your camera or smartphone to take great photos.
Cash: Useful for purchasing tickets, snacks or souvenirs (soles only).
